Introduction!

Hello! My name is Sayaka. I grew up in San Francisco but now live in San Diego, California. I am a mom, a dog-lover, sometimes a couch potato and binge-watch Netflix just a bit too much, and I have always loved making desserts. I volunteer myself to make desserts to bring to potlucks and get excited to bake cakes for my nieces' birthdays.

I don't have a huge sweet tooth, however, it brings me so much happiness to see my family and friends enjoying my baked goods :)

February of 2024 I randomly thought I would challenge myself to make Macarons and learned how crazy difficult it was! They would come out sticky, wrinkled, cracked, lopsided, flat, crunchy, etc. There has been countless trays of macarons that I chucked in the trash from frustration.

During this time I learned tips and tricks from youtube and tiktok videos and it became a slight obsession to obtain the skill to bake PERFECT macarons.

.... which I still can't!

But every time I bake I learn how to improve for next time, and I started recording videos to track my progress.

So in this blog I would like to share videos of me baking, share recipes, and track my progress.

Hopefully at some point I will decide that I am indeed making perfect macarons :)
